Emma Arredondo, a senior at Bishop Amat High in California, won the Division 3-4-5 girls individual sweepstakes race at the 74th Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational Presented by Nike in Walnut, Calif. Arredondo covered the 2.93-mile layout in 17:43 to help the Lancers hold off Yorba Linda by an 81-87 margin to secure the team title. Arredondo won a Division 4 varsity race last year in 18:53, helping Bishop Amat earn a 33-40 victory against Harvard-Westlake.
